Pua dares BN to implicate him in Justo meet

DAP's Petaling Jaya MP Tony Pua has challenged BN ministers to implicate him as among the individuals who had allegedly met arrested former PetroSaudi International director Xavier Andre Justo.

This is after repeated insinuations including from Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Abdul Rahman Dahlan.

"Well, I dare any BN ministers to accuse me of meeting Justo.

"Come on, don't be pussies, don't beat around the bush. No need to wayang (put on a show)," Pua ( right ) said in a Facebook posting today.

Yesterday, Abdul Rahman, who is also Umno's Kota Belud MP, asked if DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang was worried if his "star MP" will be implicated in allegations that Malaysians had met Justo to purchase documents related to the scandal-ridden 1MDB.

Abdul Rahman also raised the matter on Twitter the previous day.

"On July 2, I asked Tony Pua: Has he ever met Justo? He said he had no clue who Justo was. We shall see...," Abdul Rahman had tweeted.

Communication and Multimedia Minister Ahmad Shabery Cheek yesterday also called on the opposition leader who is said to have met Justo to own up .

Alleged sale of 1MDB info

This comes after Thai police claimed that at least 10 individuals, including a media tycoon, an Umno member and an opposition figure had met Justo for sale of information he had acquired from his previous employer.

Justo is accused of stealing information from PetroSaudi and blackmailing the company for 2.5 million Swiss francs in exchange for not revealing them to third parties.

The deal reportedly did not materialise, prompting Justo to allegedly pass the information to other interested parties.

The PetroSaudi information sold by Justo ( left ) had put 1MDB in a spot as it included email correspondence between PetroSaudi and 1MDB.

The information in the emails was one of the materials used by whistleblower website Sarawak Report to allege that 1MDB funds intended for a joint venture with PetroSaudi was siphoned to a company controlled by billionaire Jho Low, who is close to Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's family.

Malaysian authorities claim the information had been tampered with, but Sarawak Report said it stands by its report and has challenged critics to sue.
