There is no draft charge sheet with regard to the special task force's probe on SRC International, said the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
In a statement today, the commission said its probe was still ongoing and investigation papers have not been submitted to the Attorney-General's Chambers.
"The investigation regarding the SRC International issue is still ongoing. As such the issue that there is a draft charge sheet on the case does not arise," it said.
MACC was responding to an article by Sarawak Report last night that Abdul Gani Patail was removed as AG because he was about to charge Najib.
The whistle-blower site included a document which it claimed to be a draft charge sheet.
MACC said it was still hunting for several key individuals to help with the probe.
It also denied leaking information regarding the case.
The commission then reiterated that MACC's task is to investigate corruption, not to topple governments.
Abdul Gani's successor Mohamed Apandi Ali also dismissed the draft charge sheet as false.
He said the charge sheet indicated a conspiracy to topple a serving prime minister by criminalising him.
