Police have recorded statements from another Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) officer in connection with the ongoing investigation into the leak of confidential government documents.

Roslan Che Amat of Special Operations Department is the fourth MACC officer to be questioned  following the arrest of  deputy public prosecutor Ahmad Sazalee Abdul Khairi last Saturday morning.

Roslan was questioned for more than two hours at the Putrajaya district police headquarters tonight about a leaked draft charge sheet from the 1MDB task force investigations.

Earlier today, the police recorded statements from MACC special operations director Bahri Mohamad Zin ( photo ) and MACC forensics director IG Chandran for three hours each.

According to Bahri, he is being investigated under Section 124B of the Penal Code, which relates to activities deemed detrimental to parliamentary democracy.

Police have thus far not elaborated on why they are questioning the MACC officers, but it is understood that all four were involved in MACC's investigations on SRC International Sdn Bhd, which is linked to 1MDB.

The company is among several companies named in an alleged RM42 million money trail leading to Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's personal bank accounts.

The money trail was exposed by The Wall Street Journal on July 3.

Najib has yet to explicitly deny this, instead stating that he had not used 1MDB money for 'personal gain'.
