Until blood drips from the keris, you’re not a racist...

YOURSAY ‘(According to Najib) to be called a racist, one has to carry a bloody keris.’

PM: We're no racists, no 'bloody keris' at rally

Milosevic: PM Najib Razak does not care about whether what he is saying is truthful or harmful. He will do what it takes to stay in power.

His plan is to create a siege mentality among the Malays. In normal circumstances, Malays, Chinese and Indians, along with the large foreign population, cooperate and rely on one another in our daily life.

This provides optimism that Malaysians can work together so that the nation can become great again. However, Najib is playing on Malay emotions by tapping historical fears.

Malays are fearful of not being able to compete, being overrun and displaced by the “Chinese”.

Najib and gang want to evoke this crisis of mindset among Malays through propaganda and lies. He is betting that he can succeed in winning Malays to his side, a ploy which has worked before.

Whatshappening: Najib said there were no posters to incite hatred of other races and the ‘Himpunan Rakyat Bersatu’ was a rally to support the government.

Mr PM, are you unable to read those provocative placards and banners and T-shirts at the rally. The red shirt rally was an anti-Chinese rally.

The way you speak is enough proof that you are inciting the red shirts to go against the Chinese otherwise Sungai Besar Umno division leader Jamal Md Yunos and his protesters would not have been so daring as to demand to enter Petaling Street and to call the Chinese "Cina babi".

Dr Suresh Kumar: Didn’t the recalcitrant Dr Mahathir Mohamad blame Najib for pandering to the Chinese community after his abysmal performance in GE13?

He said the Chinese were an ungrateful lot even though Najib tried his best to appease them, did he not? So, can you blame Najib now for changing tactics and appease the kampung masses to stay in power?

Didn’t Mahathir himself use the poor kampung Malays to achieve his selfish political ambitions? Najib has been a very good student of Mahathir and you must praise him for that.

Mahathir underestimated him, and now he has gotten a taste of his own bitter pill. This is what I call karma.

Old Timer: It is people like Najib who brings dishonour and fuel racial disharmony. Does he act like the prime minister for all by showing respect to minority races and religions in speech and action?

Does he show facts and proof when damning evidence are raised against him, instead of just verbal denial (which is very easy to do)?

Does he know that his speech, such as in this news article, really does not do anything for harmony and peace?

StraightTalk: Why the strong urge to speak in support of the red shirt rally when initially his own deputy had said that the government had no opinion about the rally and it did not want to get involved?

Does Najib really believe that all Umno members in the country supported the red shirt rally? What about Malays who voiced their concern and did not support the rally?

Najib does not have to pretend that the entire Malay population in the country supports whatever he says. Surely, Umno members were not born yesterday.

If the party's leaders continue with their pretensions, the party may be ultimately discarded by their own members.

Pahatian: In our daily lives, we encounter and meet Malays everywhere - at workplaces, offices, schools, markets, shopping centres, in buses or trains and on the streets.

Do they behave like those at the red shirts rally? These are the real and ordinary Malays. They are friendly, have their dignity and their pride.

Do the non-Malays trample or haul insults at them? No. So whose dignity is being trampled on?

Eagle: Najib, how can Malay dignity be insulted when you are the one who allegedly stole RM2.6 billion? The rest did not steal.

If anything, you and your cohorts are the only ones who will be charged in court.

Well Thats Fantastic: This shameful PM would be unsuccessful to incite anger amongst his people. Umno is not the centre of the universe and Malaysia will still be here well after Umno is dead and long forgotten.

The only person shaming the Malays that I see is the PM, who has refused to account for his actions.

Pahatian: We now have a new terminology. To be called a racist, one has to carry a bloody keris or a poster of a bloody keris. Otherwise, calling a person a racist does not hold water.

Hang Babeuf: All very clear now. Once the blood drips from the keris, you are a racist. Up to that point, you are not.

Najib, tell us who's insulting the Malays?
