UMNO AGM Hug and make up or be replaced - that is the ultimatum given to Umno's feuding top leaders by a delegate from Penang.

"After the president's winding-up speech (tomorrow), we want the president, deputy president, and vice-presidents to hug (each other)," said Musa Sheikh Fadzir to thunderous applause.

When debating Umno president Najib Abdul Razak's policy speech, he said delegates do not want a leadership crisis in the party.

"We are the ones, who with God's will, put you up there. If you don't listen to us, we the delegates will replace you at the top," he added.

Musa said the grassroots are tired of party leaders fighting each other.

"We love the deputy president, we love all the leaders up there.

"Help us, lend us a hand. We are tired, tired of all of this," he said.

Najib and Muhyiddin had a falling out over 1MDB, resulting in the latter being removed from the cabinet, together with Umno vice-president Mohd Shafie Apdal.

Muhyiddin and Shafie have since been sidelined by the party, and are taking jabs at Najib over the 1MDB scandal.
