Brazilian football legend Pele, 75, is undergoing physical therapy in a US hospital after surgery to correct a faulty 2012 hip replacement, Brazilian newspaper Folha de S Paulo reported yesterday.
He underwent the procedure in December in New York, to be near his US-based daughter and her children, according to the report.
Pele is expected to fly back to Brazil next week.
The three-time World Cup champion is considered one of football’s greatest players ever with 1,281 goals in 1,365 matches.
He has suffered a series of health problems, including kidney stones in 2014. Last year, he underwent prostate surgery in May and back surgery in July.
