Former PAS vice-president Husam Musa will be referred to the party's disciplinary board after its central working committee reviewed several complaints made against him.

PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said they had received these grouses against Husam from Kelantan PAS and its divisions.

"The PAS central working committee meeting has decided that these disciplinary complaints will be referred to the party's disciplinary committee.

"(They are) to be decided following the related rules and laws, as well as PAS' constitution," Tuan Ibrahim said at a press conference in Kuala Lumpur today, after the monthly central working committee meeting.

The proceedings related to this case will be handled entirely by the disciplinary committee headed by former PAS vice-president Daeng Sanusi Daeng Mariok, he added.

Tuan Ibrahim also expressed his hope that this case will be resolved as soon as possible to avoid "negative consequences, continuous accusations and (from) becom(ing) detrimental to the party's interests".

Husam awaits notice

In immediate response, Husam said he will await PAS' official letter before commenting on the matter.

"I will await the official show cause letter so that I can prepare my defence," he said in a statement.

"At the same time, I will also submit to the disciplinary committee when the time comes, offences against PAS and Islam that have been committed by parties in PAS that I have raised up to now," he said.

The party's action against Husam comes after he had reportedly urged PAS vice-president Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah and party secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan to assume responsibility and resign from their posts.

Husam said this is because Mohd Amar and Takiyuddin had allegedly failed to amend the Syariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act 1965 in Parliament to pave the way for the implementation of hudud in Kelantan.

He has also riled his party for alleging illegal logging by the PAS Kelantan government and for appearing at functions held by breakaway party Amanah.
