Conduct your own study, anti-Najib group tells Tajuddin

Anti-Najib student group Challenger has urged Deputy Agriculture and Agro-based Industries Minister Tajuddin Abdul Rahman to conduct his own study to refute their survey which found students to have lost trust in the leadership of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

“If Dato' Haji Tajuddin thinks that the survey is inadequate then he should conduct a survey on his own.

“However, should he decide to do so then the survey has to be conducted by an independent body with zero political interests,” said Challenger member Aaron Denison in a statement today.

The group was responding to Tajuddin belittling the results of a survey they conducted online from March 8 to April 8, 2016 with 5006 respondents from universities across Malaysia.

According to the survey’s findings , over 90 percent of university students have lost trust in Najib’s leadership as PM.

“If Dato’ Seri Haji Tajuddin is able, then he should expand this survey as we sincerely feel that it is important for Members of Parliament to receive actual feedback from Malaysian citizens,” concluded Aaron.

Yesterday, Tajuddin sniped that the survey of few thousand dissatisfied students cannot compare to the millions of Malaysians who still support Najib.

Tajuddin said the there is scant reason for Umno to oust Najib just because the several thousand university students polled by the group no longer had confidence in leadership.

The deputy minister also reportedly said that university students may be rebels now but will calm down once they are exposed to the real world, relating how he, too, was a student activist during his day, before he came to be who he is now.
