Telok Datuk assemblyperson Loh Chee Heng is appealing the party’s decision to sack him, after the disciplinary committee found him guilty of misusing state funds allocated to his constituency.

Loh said he will also continue to serve the constituency, although his service centre in Jenjarom has been locked following his sacking.

“I respect the DAP disciplinary committee’s decision to sack me, but I strongly deny the allegations of misappropriation of funds.

“All allocations used were applied for, approved and used according to the circular and guidelines of the Kuala Langat district and land offices, in line with the state treasury requirements.

“I am appealing the decision to the DAP central executive committee, in accordance with the party constitution, soon,” he said in a statement.

Loh also vowed to cooperate with any investigation by enforcement agencies on the matter, and stressed the allegations were made by “political enemies”.

“I am confident the truth will emerge,” he said.

DAP disciplinary committee chief Tan Kok Wai last weekend said it commenced investigation against Loh after receiving a written complaint on misappropriation of funds in March.

The party’s Selangor committee carried out an internal probe on the issue that month, he said.

Loh defeated MCA and an independent candidate by 5,391 votes in 2013.
