Former Umno vice-president Mohd Shafie Apdal has questioned the party's decision to suspend his membership, without any input from him, during the party's supreme council meetings.

Instead, Shafie said, Umno only decided to take action against him without further investigations and when he was performing his umrah (minor pilgrimage).
