Former attorney-general Abdul Gani Patail and the government have applied to strike out a suit filed by Selangor exco member Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, in relation to attempts to charge him under the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012.

Gani and the government's lawyers are claiming that Nik Nazmi's suit was an abuse of the court process, frivolous and vexatious.
