Tourism and Culture Minister Nazri Abdul Aziz has called on those with evidence that Umno received funds from SRC International to lodge a report with the authorities.

"Why do we have to respond every time there is an allegation? Show the proof.

"I think whatever that has happened in the past two years, be it about 1MDB or the RM2.6 billion (in Prime Mininster Najib Abdul Razak's bank account) is enough. There has been no offence.

"So, what allegations are to be made if no offence was found? If there is evidence of offence committed, lodge a report with the authorities," Nazri told reporters in Kuala Lumpur today.

SRC International, a fully-owned Ministry of Finance firm, is a former subsidiary of 1MDB.

Nazri was responding to PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli's disclosure of alleged leaked documents showing that several Umno divisons and BN parties, as well as media-related entities, received funds from SRC International.

The opposition lawmaker based his claims on documents uploaded onto the blog srpminsider.blogspot.com, access to which has since been blocked by the authorities.

The money trail also showed that Najib's aide and government negotiator in the 1MDB-International Petroleum Investment Corporation (IPIC) settlement process, Amhari Efendi Nazaruddin, received RM2 million.

Amhari did not respond to Malaysiakini's queries on this matter.

Another alleged recipient, Centre for Strategic Engagement Sdn Bhd, which received RM300,000, confirmed conducting "constituency studies and media monitoring for various BN parties".

"We do charge clients for our services. I don't question (the) sources (of the payment). These dealings are all properly invoiced and recorded," its chief executive officer Soong Fui Kim told Malaysiakini.

Yayasan Al-Abrar chairperson Syed Mehdar Syed Abdullah told Free Malaysia Today he is "unsure" if the foundation received the alleged RM5 million.

"If you’re talking about ‘Malaysia Berselawat’ then I can tell you we raised our own funds for that because I was directly involved.

"Apart from that, I don’t know because I do not take care of the foundation’s accounts," he said.

Syed Mehdar said the foundation "didn't take a sen from Najib" for "Majlis Berselawat", a religious event held in 2013.

Yayasan Al-Abrar was formed to promote development in religious education.

Meanwhile, Nazri, who is also an Umno supreme council member, said harping on the 1MDB issue was a waste of time.

"When the 1MDB case was concluded, he (Rafizi) looked for something else... don't waste my time and the rakyat's time.

"I feel that this issue has been revived to cause distrust among Malaysians and we waste a lot of time, which could be used to focus on the rakyat," Nazri said.

Najib has denied abusing 1MDB funds for personal use and has been cleared of any wrongdoing by attorney-general Mohamed Apandi Ali.
