The prosecution in the murder of North Korean Kim Jong-nam has still not furnished case documents crucial for the defence, lawyers representing two women accused of the crime said.

Gooi Soon Seng, the lawyer for Indonesian suspect Siti Aisyah, told the magistrate's court in Sepang today that this includes closed-circuit camera (CCTV) footage of pranks being played at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 several days prior to the murder.

"The prosecution must inform us whether the CCTV recordings were in fact seized by the police or otherwise. 

"If it was not seized, we can confront the airport authorities again," Gooi (photo) said.

He said failure to share the material documents would jeopardise the defence. 

Vietnamese Doan Thi Huong's lawyer Hisyam Teh Poh Teik said he too expressed the same sentiments. 

It was reported previously that Siti Aisyah claimed that she thought she was carrying out a prank on Jong-nam. 

She also claimed to have been paid to play pranks on other strangers in Kuala Lumpur for a reality TV show.

In response to the defence's complaints, deputy public prosecutor Muhamad Iskandar Ahmad argued that the pre-trial period was yet to lapse, as the case has yet to be transferred to the High Court in Shah Alam, and a trial date has yet to be set. 

"I undertake to supply everything (documents) in bulk... Let us compile everything nicely first," Muhammad Iskandar said. 

The defence had made a similar complaint during the last mention of the case on April 13.

Sessions judge Haris Sham Mohamed Yassin, who is sitting as a magistrate, had on that day asked the prosecution to facilitate the defence's request. 

However, Haris Sham did not respond to the defence today, but approved for the case to be transferred to the High Court in Shah Alam. 

No date was set for the case to be heard in Shah Alam. 

Outside the court later, Gooi told reporters that Siti Aisyah had also taken part in pranks carried out in other parts of Kuala Lumpur prior to Jong-nam's murder. 

"We gave details to the police and they should have had investigated it," he said.

Jong-nam, who is the half brother of North Korean supreme leader Kim Jong-un, was murdered at KLIA 2 on Feb 13.

Siti Aisyah and Doan are said to have smeared a toxic substance on the victim at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA 2). 

It was later established that the assailants had used the VX nerve agent.

Besides Siti Aisyah and Doan, four other suspects at large are also accused of the murder.
