Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad has said that royal commission of inquiries (RCI) today do not actually aim to seek the truth.

"If a police report is lodged against a member or supporter of the opposition, the police will conduct an investigation and even form a RCI with haste.

"It is not truth being sought, but pictures (of someone) wearing the lock-up uniform that is being prioritised," Mahathir, the Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) chairperson, said.
