Dr Mahathir Mohamad continues to lob sarcasm at Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak on Najib's pledge to help strengthen the United States' economy.

“Malaysia is now recognised as a great investor to restore the economy and infrastructure of developed countries. Najib is to be congratulated for this distinction,” Mahathir said in a blog post.

The former prime minister noted how, among others, Najib offered US President Donald Trump more than US$10 billion to purchase 58 Boeing aircraft.

Apart from this, he said, Malaysia would be investing more than US$3 billion of EPF's money in infrastructure development in the US, on top of some US$7 billion already invested in equity.
