Sarawak kicks out PKR reps

Kuala Sepetang assemblyperson Chua Yee Ling was evicted from Sarawak last night, after Immigration and police officers gatecrashed a PKR dinner in Miri.

Earlier in the day, PKR Wanita chief Zuraida Kamaruddin and Petaling Jaya Selatan MP Hee Loy Sien were denied entry into the state once arriving at the Miri airport.

Sarawak Chief Minister Abang Johari Openg gave his assurance that Pakatan Harapan chairperson Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who is slated to speak in Kuching today, will be allowed into the state.

Former inspector-general of police Abdul Rahim Noor warned Umno that BN may lose Sabah and Sarawak if the ruling Malay party gives in to PAS' demand for stricter syariah laws.

Harapan decision on PAS stands, says Nurul Izzah

PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar says party president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail has made clear that Pakatan Harapan's decision to end negotiations with PAS stands.

The Minorities Rights Action Party (Mira) - formerly known as NewGen - wants to join the Harapan coalition, having promised to help deliver up to 25 marginal BN-held parliamentary seats to the coalition.
