The digital version of PAS organ Harakah, or e-Harakah, will be a subscription service from Nov 1 onwards while its news portal Harakah Daily will continue to be free.

Harakah chief editor Wan Nordin Wan Yaacob said not all content will be subjected to the RM10 monthly paywall.

"All the special reports and statements by leaders will be paid content from now on... Not everything will be behind the paywall," he told Malaysiakini.

He said he was not sure why the company's management had made such a decision, but stressed that it was not decided by the PAS leadership.
