MCA deputy president Wee Ka Siong said he was honoured that DAP had given up two parliamentary seats to contest in his constituency of Ayer Hitam.

However, Wee questioned why DAP appeared reluctant to get into the ring on its own.

"I am honoured and flattered if DAP indeed gave up two parliamentary seats for Ayer Hitam in order to defeat Wee Ka Siong. Since you had worked so hard (in order to get Ayer Hitam), why would you give it up to Amanah?"

Wee was referring to speculation that DAP may allow Amanah to contest in the parliamentary seat of Ayer Hitam but under its own rocket logo...
