PARLIAMENT | Turning the clock back in Parliament, BN lawmaker Bung Moktar Radin recalled how Lim Kit Siang had wanted former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad to be investigated in the past.

"I still remember in 2013, Gelang Patah (Lim) asked Mahathir to be investigated because he had an RM100 billion scandal.

"But what I am seeing now is that they are kissing each other on the mouth!" he exclaimed to roars of laughter from other MPs.

Training his guns on DAP's Teresa Kok, Bung asked the Seputeh MP to stand up and comment on Mahathir, who is now the chairperson of Pakatan Harapan.

"You used to make so much noise criticising Mahathir, now I see Seputeh linking her arms (with Mahathir), a '380-degree' turn," said the Kinabatangan MP to more laughter from those present.

Kok (photo), however, reminded Bung that a special debate was convened in Parliament in honour of Mahathir after he resigned as prime minister.

"Kinabatangan was also with me in the Dewan, now he has changed (tune)," she said.

Responding to this, Bung conceded that BN appreciated the former premier's contributions to the country.

At this point, G Manivannan (PKR-Kapar) quipped, "Back then, they used to kiss, muah!"

Earlier, Bung told the House there were no tarred roads in his parliamentary constituency in Sabah when he first became an MP in 1999.

"There were no tarred roads under Mahathir's leadership. It's not like we didn't make noise for it.

"But when the administration was changed to Pekan (Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's parliamentary constituency), thousands of roads have been tarred," he added.
