MCA Alor Gajah has questioned where Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's political aide Wong Nai Chee was when Tourism and Culture Minister Mohamed Nazri Aziz purportedly insulted the Chinese community.

The division also expressed doubts about Wong's political contributions in the past and asked what right he had to contest in the Malacca parliamentary seat.

This follows a report that Wong could replace Alor Gajah incumbent MP Koh Nai Kwong in the coming general election.

"If you want to be a candidate, come and serve, and perform first," MCA Alor Gajah division secretary Chew Chong Lin told reporters yesterday, after attending a rally in support of Koh.
