GE14 | Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman will be Pakatan Harapan’s candidate for the Muar parliamentary seat in the 14th general election.

Pakatan Harapan chairperson Dr Mahathir Mohamad made the announcement on the candidature of Syed Saddiq, who is the Bersatu Youth chief during the ‘Harapan Malaysia’ political talk in Parit Jawa in Muar last night.

Dr Mahathir also announced Amanah deputy president Salahuddin Ayub as Harapan’s candidate for the Simpang Renggam parliamentary seat; Ledang Amanah chief Dr Faizul Amri Adnan to contest in the Serum state seat; and Johor Amanah Wanita chief Norhayati Bachok as the candidate for the Maharani state seat.

In the 13th general election,Umno's Razali Ibrahim won the Muar parliamentary seat by defeating PKR's Norhizwan Ahmad by a 1,646 vote majority.

However, no announcement was made as to where Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin will be contesting.
