GE14 | Former TV personality Wardina Safiyyah has openly declared that she will not be supporting BN in the 14th general election.
"No, I'm not afraid to say that my support is not for BN. I do not have to suck up to anyone for jobs, nor do I have to be on TV anymore.
“BN does not own this country and they have been in power far way too long. Stand up and rise Malaysia,” she wrote on her official Facebook page on Friday night.
“Having said that, I acknowledge there are good and bad people in every party. There are excellent people in BN, although a very limited few... I do admire certain people from BN and there are a few characters I doubt in Pakatan (Harapan).
"Malaysia, we need sincere leaders. Those who really care, those who are qualified. Tired of idiotic leaders.
“And enough...enough of corruption and making yourself rich. Menyampah (revolting)," she added.
Accompanying the post was a live feed of Harapan's rally in Johor, where a common logo for the coalition was announced.
She then asked for civil servants to help bring about change.
"Do not be spooked. May Allah ease (sic). May the force be with us.
"Hope there will not be dirty tactics, like using racial sentiments and excessive slandering during campaigning. Tired (of it)," she wrote.
Wardina, who was famous for her appearance on TV shows like Spanar Jaya in the late 1990s and early 2000s, stressed that she had nothing to gain from her posting.
"Just tired of BN. A change would be splendid! Who's with me?" she wrote, adding that vulgar comments on her post will be deleted.
