Wanita Amanah chief Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud and PKR leader Hee Loy Sian were among the seven new faces of the 10-member Selangor executive council revealed today.

Only DAP's Teng Chang Khim and V Ganabatirau, as well as PKR's Amirudin Shari, have been retained as exco members.

They, along with five others, were sworn in today before Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah at the Istana Alam Shah in Klang.

They are PKR's Shaharuddin Badaruddin and Haniza Mohamed Talha, DAP's Ng Sze Han, Amanah's Izham Hashim as well as Bersatu's Abdul Rashid Asari.

In last week’s polls, Pakatan Harapan captured 51 of the 56 state seats in Selangor, leaving the opposition bench to be made up of four BN assemblypersons and one from PAS.

Harapan candidates also captured 20 out of 22 parliamentary seats in the state. 

In the previous term, the executive council consisted of Teng, Ganabatirau, Amiruddin, PKR Youth chief Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad who did not contest in a state seat, PKR's Dr Daroyah Alwi and Elizabeth Wong, DAP's Ean Yong Hian Wah and PAS' Iskandar Abdul Samad, Zaidy Abdul Talib and Ahmad Yunus Hairi.

Also present today were Sultan Sharafuddin's consort Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, Selangor crown prince Tengku Amir Shah and Menteri Besar Azmin Ali.

Azmin was sworn in for his second term as menteri besar on Friday.
