Inspector-general of police Mohamad Fuzi Harun said today that police will submit a report to Home Minister Muhyiddin Yassin on lawyer Siti Kasim's case.

"We will submit the papers, we will continue with the investigation and submit the papers," he told journalists at Bukit Aman.

Siti Kasim was arrested by police last Saturday after she demanded the release of her 24-year-old client Anis Izzatty Ruslan.

Anis' estranged mother had lodged a police report against Siti, claiming that the lawyer had kidnapped her daughter. Anis denies the claim.

Siti was later freed after a magistrate rejected a remand application from the police.

Muhyiddin had urged the IGP yesterday to give him a detailed report on the incident, saying he had to find a balance between public interest and the interest of the individual.

In a separate matter, Fuzi said police will cooperate with Thai authorities over reports that 41 bombs made in Malaysia were seized in Thailand.

The Thai army claimed the bombs were intended to be used in attacks in Southern Thailand.

"We are working closely with our counterparts for information so that we can complete our investigation," he said.
