SG KANDIS POLLS | The freeze on Umno accounts as part of the 1MDB probe will not slow down BN's campaign in Sungai Kandis, said former Umno president Najib Abdul Razak.
This he said, is because BN doesn't need a lot of money for its campaign.
"This campaign uses the least amount of money.
"We are doing it moderately, but more people-friendly, reaching out to their hearts rather than doing big gathering which requires a lot of spending and so on," Najib told reporters when met in Sungai Kandis today.
Previously it was reported that the MACC had frozen 900 accounts traced to 1MDB, including accounts belonging to Selangor Umno.
Malaysiakini had previously reported that between 2011 and 2013, Selangor BN had received about RM60 million in total from Najib's personal accounts. The funds are believed to be linked to 1MDB.

Najib has denied misappropriating 1MDB funds.
Meanwhile, on a separate matter, Najib downplayed MCA's perceived lack of involvement in the Sungai Kandis campaign.
He said both MCA and MIC needed to be given time to recover their strength following the May 9 election.
In the Aug 4 by-election, Harapan's Mohd Zawawi Ahmad Mughni will face BN's Lokman Noor Adam and independent candidate Murthi Krishnasamy.
The Sungai Kandis state seat fell vacant after the death of PKR assemblyperson Mat Shuhaimi Shafie on July 2 from lymphoma.
He won the Sungai Kandis seat with a 12,480-vote majority in GE14.
Indian voters form 16 percent of the 50,800-strong electorate. Malay voters stand at 72 percent and Chinese 12 percent.
