INTERVIEW | Bersatu chairperson Dr Mahathir Mohamad is hopeful that the party can produce a worthy successor for when he is no longer around.
"We hope talented people will emerge. They may emerge soon and we do encourage those with talent to become leaders.
"In Bersatu there are many young people who show great capabilities," Mahathir told Malaysiakini and Sinar Harian during a joint interview on Thursday.
The 93-year-old said this when asked if there was a succession plan for him within the party.
