The Kelantan state government will organise a syariah-compliant bodybuilding competition called the Mr Awang Selamat Kelantan 2018 Challenge on Oct 13.

State youth, sports and non-governmental organisations committee chairman Wan Roslan Wan Hamat said unlike the usual bodybuilding competition, participants of this competition will cover their bodies from the navel to the knees.

"So far 50 participants have confirmed their participation in the competition," he told reporters at the Kota Darulnaim Complex, Kota Bharu yesterday.

Wan Roslan said the competition to be held at the Perak Jubilee Hall here would be divided into four categories and winners of each category would receive a cash prize, kris and trophy.
