Najib rues addressing empty seats after Harapan leaders 'vanish'

Former premier Najib Abdul Razak has posted a photograph on his Facebook page showing him delivering a speech at the Dewan Rakyat this afternoon.

Before him, were rows of empty seats.

Due to this, the irate Pekan lawmaker said he would just air his views on his Facebook page in future.

“When I write on FB, there are those who tell me to bring (the issue) to Parliament. When I bring it to Parliament, many ministers and deputy ministers disappear.

“Perhaps, many ministers had early lunch appointments. Perhaps, one or two had to rest in the afternoon because of being unable to sleep at night,” he added.

In an earlier posting, Najib, who has been slapped with a slew of criminal charges, said his resolve remains intact regardless of how he is treated.

“Many things can happen in five years. Look at where Malaysia is now and where we are. The direction of Malaysia is important.

“We cannot be silent. I will bring the voice of the people to Parliament...,” he added.

Since the May 9 general election, Najib has refused to disappear from the media radar like numerous other ministers from his administration, and continues to churn out Facebook and Twitter postings almost on a daily basis.
