PKR POLLS | The PKR election committee (JPP) has rejected some 90 percent of approximately 7,500 disputed votes (undi ragu) from seven states which it had verified so far, according to JPP deputy chairperson Adzman Hedra.

Adzman said the committee has been tasked to verify between 10,000 and 12,000 disputed votes recorded throughout the nationwide polls, and is expected to complete the process by this Thursday.

"There will be minor changes (to final results) because we have many Borang 11 for disputed votes.

"This Borang 11 is for voters who came out to vote but their identities are in dispute. So they have to fill up the form," he told reporters at Parliament after a PKR political bureau meeting.

He also claimed that there were PKR poll contenders who had a "wrong perception" on JPP's statement that individuals whose names were not detected at the polling centres could still cast their votes using the Borang 11.

"So they mobilise anybody. Doesn't matter whether those people are real members or not, they mobilise anybody to come, show their IC and vote.

"When we check, 90 percent are not members. If you are not members, you could vote, but it would not be counted," he stressed.

Adzman also rejected PKR Youth chief contender Akmal Nasir's earlier claims that votes from the party's election, particularly in Sabah, are going missing in a "systematic and planned" manner that appear to disadvantage deputy president hopeful Rafizi Ramli.

"It is a democracy. It is up to them (members). We don't believe that it (votes) were missing because when we look at our database, there is no lost data.

"For us, their calculation is flawed," he stressed.

Commenting further, Adzman said the JPP believes that there were many instances, particularly in rural divisions, where votes were not cast for either of the deputy president contenders or other central leaders.

"Especially where there were division chief (contenders) who mobilised their members.

"Many of these members would only know that particular division chief and would not vote for deputy president or central leaders," he said.

Adzman said the JPP in its meeting with the PKR political bureau also reaffirmed their stand that there would be no re-election for the Julau division in Sarawak as they found that no data had been compromised.

This follows its discovery that six tablets from the voting centre had their electronic voting (e-voting) apps "wiped clean" by the Prey anti-theft app.

The party’s annual three-day national delegates congress will kick off this Friday at the Ideal Convention Centre in Shah Alam, Selangor.

Results of the entire PKR elections are expected to be announced then.
