The haemorrhage of Umno MPs continues with five more lawmakers announcing their departure from the BN component party.
They are former minister and Larut MP Hamzah Zainudin, Hulu Terengganu MP Rosol Wahid, Mersing MP Latiff Ahmad, Tasek Gelugor MP Shabudin Yahaya, Tanah Merah MP Ikmal Hisham Abdul Aziz and Sabak Bernam MP Mohd Fasiah Mohd Fakeh.

The six had signed a letter dated today addressed to Umno secretary-general Annuar Musa stating their decision, but did not include reasons for doing so.
This brings the total number of Umno MPs to 38, down from its initial batch of 54 just after the 14th general election.
