Wall of North Korean embassy defaced, cops probing incident

Police are in the midst of looking for four men who are believed to have spray-painted the outer wall of the North Korean Embassy in Bukit Damansara in Kuala Lumpur early this morning.

Brickfields police chief Ruslan Khalid said they had defaced the walls with Korean scripts which meant "Free Korea" together with several symbols which have yet to be deciphered.

"Investigations are being carried out from all aspects to identify the motive of the incident and there is a likelihood that it involved some mischievous children.

"The case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for causing damage to property through an act of mischief. A report was lodged by embassy staff at the Travers police station," he added.

Ruslan said the preliminary investigation found that the four suspects were tall and were wearing hats and face masks. They have not been identified.
