1. PKR president Anwar Ibrahim will be given a free hand to do what's best for Malaysia once he takes over as the prime minister, Dr Mahathir Mohamad said.

2. In a special interview with the media to mark Pakatan Harapan's first anniversary in government, the prime minister also revealed that he welcomed constructive feedback to improve himself, but said he personally has not felt any backlash, beyond what was reported by a critical press.

3. Putrajaya and the police have filed two civil forfeiture suits against former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak, his wife Rosmah Mansor and several others to seize a total of RM711 million worth of luxury items, including 27 luxury cars and one property, from these individuals.

4. Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng said proceeds from the recovery of RM1.5 billion from assets allegedly acquired using stolen 1MDB funds would be used to pay the debts linked to the scandal.
