The new name proposed by Perak PKR for the state executive council has been discussed by the top leadership of Pakatan Harapan, Menteri Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu said today.

"We have discussed it, and I will present the name to Tuanku (Sultan Nazrin Shah of Perak)," said Faizal, the state Harapan chairperson.

Faizal told reporters this after presenting Aidilfitri goodies from the state government to uniformed units at the Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan in Ipoh today.

On May 25, Perak PKR chairperson Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak said the state Harapan leadership council only proposed the name, but that the final decision would be made by the top leadership.

There are two state excos from PKR – Kuala Kurau assemblyperson Abdul Yunus Jamhari, who oversees the public utilities, infrastructure, agriculture and plantation portfolio, and Simpang Pulai assemblyperson Tan Kar Hing, who is in charge of the tourism, arts and culture portfolio.
