Prior to the last general election, Pakatan Harapan had made it clear that PKR president Anwar Ibrahim would succeed Dr Mahathir Mohamad as prime minister.

However, the transition has since been shrouded in uncertainty and Mahathir's latest remarks on the matter appeared to muddle things further.

However, PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution Ismail is certain that Harapan would not deviate from the original plan and Anwar would take over the reins from Mahathir...
