1. Leaked documents showed that the police Special Branch had been proposed as among potential data sources for Cambridge Analytica’s propaganda campaign aimed at helping BN win the 14th general election.

2. Former foreign minister Anifah Aman has failed his final attempt to challenge the courts’ decision to nullify his election victory at Kimanis. Nomination day for the Kimanis by-election takes place today.

3. Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Mohamaddin Ketapi dismissed speculation that he may be next to be asked to resign after former education minister Maszlee Malik, while Wisma Putra said claims that either its minister Saifuddin Abdullah or deputy minister Marzuki Yahya would replace Maszlee is “just speculation”.

4. Following Maszlee’s resignation, various individuals such as former international trade and industry minister Mustapa Mohamed and economist Jomo Kwame Sundaram have been suggested as his potential successor.

5. The judiciary’s internal probe on Court of Appeal judge Hamid Sultan Abu Backer’s allegations of judicial interference has been put on hold pending a police investigation.
