Tronoh assemblyperson Paul Yong has accused Perak DAP leaders Ngeh Koo Ham and Nga Kor Ming of mounting "childish" efforts to tarnish his reputation.

At a press conference in Ipoh today, Yong (above) claimed that Ngeh and Nga were responsible for "cybertrooper attacks" on his Facebook page.

Yong also accused Ngeh and Nga of attempting to hold a rally with a poster depicting the former as a "frog". The purported rally did not happen.

"This morning they sent someone to round up people (in the Tronoh area) to join their rally.

"No one did and their plans failed," Yong claimed.

Yong also refuted allegations that he had caused the Pakatan Harapan government in Perak to fall.

He said his decision to quit Harapan yesterday, alongside Titi Serong assemblyperson Hasnul Zulkarnain Abd Munaim and Buntong assemblyperson A Sivasubramaniam, only happened after the coalition government collapsed.

Yong said there was nothing wrong with him leaving DAP as a sign of protest against how Ngeh (below, fourth left) and Nga (below, fifth left) ran the Perak chapter of the party.

He said that the duo were "dictators".

"Can't I wait for them to be defeated (in internal party elections) and rejoin the party? I can, right?" asked Yong, rhetorically.

Yong was accompanied by Sivasubramaniam and Pokok Assam assemblyperson Leow Thye Yih. Leow is still an active DAP member.
