Covid-19: USM lectures to be strictly online
CORONAVIRUS | Universiti Sains Malaysia will only be conducting classes online from today onwards to reduce the spread of Covid-19.
In a statement today, vice-chancellor Faisal Rafiq Mahamd Adikan said all students will be informed of the details by their respective deans soon.

"This change will raise a lot of questions among teachers and students.
"The deans at various schools will contact lecturers and students to ensure this change will be implemented smoothly," he said.
This was part of measures taken by a special crisis committee to handle the Covid-19 outbreak.
All seminars, workshops, gatherings and visitations will have to be postponed indefinitely.
Students and USM staff are also banned from going abroad.
"If there are meetings involving more than 25 people that cannot be avoided, the Pusat Sejahtera must be informed and they will conduct temperature screenings and other preventive measures," said Faisal Rafiq.
Meanwhile, Faisal Rafiq said RM350,000 has been allocated to handle the situation.
He said the university have bought enough hand sanitisers for the campus that will last until late April.
Face masks will be distributed to frontlines only.
