Free Internet package from April until end of MCO
CORONAVIRUS | The government will be providing a free Internet package to all users starting from April 1 until the end of the movement control order.
Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said the government has allocated RM600 million for this and that it will be rolled out with the cooperation of telco companies.

RM400 million has also been allocated for to improve network coverage and capabilities.
Meanwhile, the government has agreed to extend the rental exemption for People's Housing Project (PPR) flats to six months starting April. This includes those under rent-to-own schemes.
Rental for public housing in Kuala Lumpur will also be exempted for six months.
Muhyiddin urged other state governments to also give the same exemptions to PPR and public housing tenants.
Government-owned premises including school canteens, day cares, cafeterias and others will also be exempted from rent for six months.
The measures are part of the economic stimulus package the government announced today, which totalled RM250 billion.
