Cops: S'gor to go 'fully locked down' viral message is false
CORONAVIRUS | The North Klang district police have denied the contents of a viral message claiming that Selangor will eventually be "fully locked down".
In a statement today, district police chief Nurulhuda Mohd Salleh said that the message was attributed to an unnamed police officer in her district and is spreading among the community.

In a statement today, district police chief Nurulhuda Mohd Salleh said that the message was attributed to an unnamed police officer in her district and is spreading among the community.
"This district headquarters strongly denies ever having spread such a message or statement," said Nurulhuda.
The spread of the viral message comes a day after the authorities tightened up movement control in Kampung Dato' Ibrahim Majid and Bandar Baharu Dato' Ibrahim Majid in Kluang, Johor.
This would involve a strict 14-day curfew in which no one is allowed to leave their houses nor enter the area.
The 650 households will have to depend on the Social Welfare Department for food supplies.
This drastic measure was taken after authorities realised that out of the 83 confirmed cases of Covid-19 infections in Kluang so far, 61 came from the two areas.
In contrast, most Malaysians are still able to leave their homes during the movement control order period for food and medicine or go to work if they are employed in essential services.
