"During the initial screening that was carried out on Monday morning, none of them was found to have a fever," Kedah and Perlis Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) deputy operations director Zulinda Ramly was quoted as saying by The Star Online.
She said all 202 refugees, comprising 152 men, 45 women and five children, are being detained at MMEA's Bukit Malut base.
According to Zulinda, the masterminds of the ship had jumped into the sea and escaped.
The refugees began arriving by boat on April 5 when Malaysia was under a partial lockdown dubbed the movement control order (MCO).
Under the MCO, foreigners are not allowed to enter the country while Malaysians are not allowed to leave.
The measure is intended to curb the spread of Covid-19.
As of noon yesterday, Malaysia recorded 3,793 confirmed Covid-19 cases with 62 deaths.
Apart from this, 2,490 people are still under treatment while 1,241 have recovered.
