The Immigration Department has dismissed claims of a group of people storming the Sultan Iskandar Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) complex in Johor Bahru.
A video of the purported April 9 incident was circulated on social media since yesterday.
The Immigration director-general Khairul Dzaimee Daud explained that the video is actually from a fire drill exercise which was conducted on Dec 18, 2019.
"The Immigration Department takes seriously the action of circulating the video by unscrupulous parties to create panic among the people.

"Johor Immigration will file a report on the matter," he said in a brief statement.
Immigration has also shared several pictures of the complex surrounding which appeared to be calm with nobody was seen in the vicinity except the frontliners.
