Rina denies resignation allegation
Women, Family and Community Development Minister Rina Harun has denied an allegation that she is resigning amid intense speculation that a minister from Bersatu would be resigning.
"I want to clarify that I am still a member of Bersatu and I am also Bersatu women’s wing chief.

"I want to clarify that I am still a member of Bersatu and I am also Bersatu women’s wing chief.
"I support the leadership of Muhyiddin Yassin as the prime minister and also the president of the party," she told the media at Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara this evening.
She also stressed that amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the focus should be on the rakyat instead of political polemics.
Rina was among several leaders who were seen arriving at the hotel with Bersatu secretary-general Hamzah Zainudin (photo), after the latter held a press conference at the party headquarters today.
Bersatu information chief Radzi Jidin and Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal were also at the scene.
The leaders held a discussion at the hotel’s ballroom for about an hour.
When asked about the topic that was discussed, Rina answered that they rented the ballroom as there were food and drinks served as opposed to the party's headquarters.
Bersatu fractured into two after Muhyiddin took the party out of Harapan in February to form PN with the support of Umno, BN, and PAS.
Political pundits have predicted that the PN coalition could run into trouble with regard to electoral seats as Bersatu, Umno, and PAS are eyeing the same constituencies.
It is unlikely that Umno would step aside for Bersatu in a general election.
Former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad, on the other hand, has sounded the death knell for Bersatu.
The developments today come after Bersatu nullified the memberships of Mahathir and four others for sitting on the opposition bench in Parliament during the May 18 single-day session.
The five, including Mahathir's son Mukhriz, have disputed the nullification.
