'Datuk' nabbed: MACC arrests ex-foundation CEO for allegedly abusing position
Putrajaya MACC has arrested a former chief executive officer (CEO) of a foundation for allegedly abusing his position after appointing a company he owned to organise an event back in 2016.
A source described the suspect as a man in his 60s, who carries the title “Datuk” and professor.

A source described the suspect as a man in his 60s, who carries the title “Datuk” and professor.
He was picked up by officers at 10.30am today and brought to MACC’s Putrajaya office to give a statement.
It was alleged that the man appointed a company he owned as the strategic partner to organise a rowing event up north with costs exceeding RM150,000.
He was arrested under Section 23 of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 pertaining to the use of office or position by an officer in a public body for any gratification.
Putrajaya MACC director Hasbilah Mohamad Salleh confirmed the arrest.
The suspect was released on bail of RM10,000.
