Johor Bersatu head doesn't make much of DAP lawmaker-PM meeting
Johor Bersatu head Mazlan Bujang said it was unlikely that Paloh lawmaker Sheikh Omar Ali was defecting from DAP to Bersatu.

"Him meeting (Prime Minister) Muhyiddin (Yassin) doesn't necessarily mean he is joining Bersatu. I didn't know about it, but it is unlikely. It's just a meeting, and I visit DAP people as well.
"If (he was defecting) he would have seen me. I think it's baseless. What's wrong with saying 'hello'?" asked Mazlan.
Recently, a photograph depicting Sheikh Omar with Muhyiddin has been making rounds online.
It is uncertain when exactly the photograph was taken although it was clear that the location was in the prime minister's office.
Yesterday, Twitter user TanggaPMO uploaded a photograph of Sheikh Omar and Muhyiddin on Twitter with the question: "Is Bersatu getting one more seat in Johor?"
Following this, Sheikh Omar replied: "Who knows. Maybe DAP will get more seats."
Sheikh Omar did not respond to requests for comments.
Meanwhile, Mazlan said Bersatu would welcome Sheikh Omar if the latter was truly interested.
"The more the merrier," he said.
Currently, Johor Perikatan Nasional has control of the legislative assembly with 28 seats versus the opposition's 27.
