Enemies trying to drive wedge between Musa, me - Bung Moktar
Sabah Umno chief Bung Moktar claimed there are attempts to drive a wedge between his predecessor Musa Aman and him.

"That is a false statement created to drive a wedge between Musa and me to hurt Umno.
"This is done by irresponsible Umno enemies who want to weaken Umno through whatever means," he told Bernama in an interview.
Conventionally, the Sabah Umno chief becomes the state chief minister if BN wins Sabah.
Bung Moktar, who is a five-term Kinabatangan MP, had said he plans to contest a state seat in the snap polls, which will qualify him as a chief ministerial candidate.
However, Umno is now in a weakened position in Sabah and the party has yet to settle on a chief ministerial candidate.
Even though Musa is no longer the Sabah Umno chief, he managed to regroup assemblypersons who had defected from Umno for a political coup attempt against the Warisan-led government.
However, the coup was thwarted after Sabah Chief Minister Shafie Apdal, who is also Warisan president, dissolved the state assembly.
Had Musa succeded, he would have returned as chief minister. Musa served as the Sabah chief minister from 2003 to 2018.
He has also served as the Sungai Sibuga assemblyperson since 1994.
Umno won 17 Sabah state seats in the last polls but the number was reduced to a single seat after eight assemblypersons defected to Bersatu, seven to Warisan, and one to Upko.
All 16 Umno defectors had once again sided with Musa before the state assembly was dissolved by Shafie.
Musa was the sole assemblyperson in Sabah to remain with Umno and continues to wield significant influence.
Musa has not made clear his intention to continue with Umno's platform in the upcoming snap polls or to ally with other groups.
