'Laugh therapy' for political upheaval, Zunar releases new book

In an effort to cheer the people up, cartoonist Zulkiflee SM Anwar Ulhaque is releasing a new book that puts a humorous spin on the ongoing political drama.

In an effort to cheer the people up, cartoonist Zulkiflee SM Anwar Ulhaque is releasing a new book that puts a humorous spin on the ongoing political drama.
"(With Covid-19 and the political uncertainty) the rakyat lives in a great depression.
"I am not a doctor, but I would like to offer 'laugh therapy' to ease the tension," said the cartoonist better known as Zunar.
The new book, Politik Caca Marba - Kartun2 Era PN covers his thoughts and stand on political developments and current issues such as corruption, the change in government, Covid-19, double standards in applying the law, and the recent attempt to put the nation under a state of emergency.
"I think Perikatan Nasional (PN) leaders are clueless, with no central command and direction. The country is not progressing but regressing," he said.
The book, priced at RM30, will include 170 cartoons, complete with English translations.
