Finas chairperson Zakaria Abdul Hamid has joined Bersatu.
Zakaria announced his entry into Bersatu today, together with 300 Penggerak Komuniti Negara (PKN) members.
PKN is an organisation linked to Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin.
Zakaria leads the Pahang chapter of the organisation.
He is aligned to the G10, a group of 10 PKR MPs who defected to Bersatu and helped bring down the Pakatan Harapan government.
He was previously a PKR supreme council member but was sacked in 2019.
In May, he was appointed by Communications and Multimedia Minister Saifuddin Abdullah, who is one of the G10, as the Finas chairperson.
Zakaria and other PKN members submitted their Bersatu membership form to the Kuantan Bersatu deputy chief earlier today.
Zakaria was immediately appointed to head the Bersatu division's people's welfare, culture and arts bureau.
He will also be tasked with election preparation for the Medan Tok Sira Bersatu branch.
