Dewan Rakyat deputy speaker Azalina Othman Said has rejected a request from Pontian MP Ahmad Maslan for her agreement that a special parliamentary session be held regarding the emergency proclamation.

She said this in a letter to the Umno secretary-general today, copied to Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and BN MPs.
