COVID-19 | The Health Ministry today reported 3,288 new Covid-19 cases and 14 deaths.

The Covid-19 death toll stood at 923. Approximately 57.5 percent of new cases reported today involved Malaysians.

  • Active cases: 52,186 (new record)
  • Patients in ICU: 285

Since the movement control order (MCO) began on Jan 13, new cases in the territories of Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Sarawak, Malacca and Johor are still trending upwards.

In Selangor - the region with the highest number of new cases for two weeks - the number of new Covid-19 cases detected among those with symptoms but are not linked to clusters or close contacts has been dropping steadily since Feb 5.
