Police call up 8 MPs over Monday's attempt to enter Parliament
Eight opposition MPs have been called up to give their statements tomorrow and on Thursday at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters over their attempt to enter Parliament on Monday.

Eight opposition MPs have been called up to give their statements tomorrow and on Thursday at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters over their attempt to enter Parliament on Monday.
Lembah Pantai MP Fahmi Fadzil had earlier tweeted that he was among the MPs called to give their statements to the police tomorrow at 11am.
He later told Malaysiakini that the other MPs involved tomorrow are Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh, Simpang Renggam MP Maszlee Malik, Kuantan MP Fuziah Salleh, Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng and Damansara MP Tony Pua.
Their appointments tomorrow are tentatively staggered from 10am to 2.30pm.
Meanwhile, Batu Kawan MP Kasthuri Patto is tentatively scheduled to go to the same police headquarters to have her statement taken on Thursday at 10am.
However, Fahmi noted that Fuziah may have to postpone as she is back in her constituency.
Police yesterday sealed off entrances to the Parliament, blocking MPs from entering the august House.
The police later claimed they had no problems with MPs going to Parliament but said they were trying to stop an "illegal" gathering there.
Pakatan Harapan has since said they regret the police were used to obstruct MPs, pointing out that blocking MPs from their duties is a crime under Section 124 of the Penal Code, which provides for up to seven years of imprisonment and a fine.
In a statement later, Inspector-General of Police Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said the police has received 206 reports over the gathering of MPs on Monday.
As such, the police have opened an investigation into the incident under Regulation 9 and 10 of the Infectious Diseases Prevention and Control (Measures in Local Areas of Infection) (National Recovery Plan) Regulations 2021, Section 21A of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act (Act 342), Section 269 of the Penal Code and Section 9(5) of the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012.
The police will be calling in all individuals involved to assist in the investigations.
He stressed again that the actions the police took on Monday were in line with the law as there was no reason for the MPs to be in Parliament that day due to the sitting having been postponed.
